Fabric & Upholstery Cleaning Team Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabric & Upholstery Cleaning Team Leader to oversee the cleaning, care, and finishing processes of upholstered furniture and mattresses. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fabric types, upholstery materials, stain removal, and cleaning techniques, as well as proven leadership skills to guide and train a small team of cleaning technicians.

This role ensures that all furniture and mattresses leaving the factory meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation before delivery to clients or showroom display.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and finishing upholstered furniture and mattresses.
• Inspect completed furniture and mattresses to ensure they are free from stains, dust, or marks before packaging or delivery.
• Identify appropriate cleaning products and methods based on fabric type, colorfastness, and material sensitivity.
• Oversee stain removal, fabric spot treatments, and deep cleaning operations.
• Train and guide team members in proper cleaning, drying, and handling procedures to avoid damage.
• Coordinate with the production and quality control teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of items.
• Monitor inventory and usage of cleaning materials, tools, and chemicals.
• Ensure all cleaning processes comply with factory safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the cleaning area.
• Report defects, recurring issues, or process improvements to the management team.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or vocational training in upholstery, textile care, or related field (technical diploma preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in upholstery or fabric cleaning (ideally within furniture, mattress, or textile industries).
• Strong understanding of fabric types, leather, foam, and upholstery materials.
• Experience using professional cleaning tools, steamers, and fabric-safe cleaning products.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing small teams.
• Basic understanding of quality control and production standards.

Pay: KD250.000 - KD350.000 per month
