Fabrication Engineer

To provide the Special Projects team with factory supervision and instruction for fabrication works of digital advertising asset structures requiring structural steel, aluminum framing and ACP cladding, through coordination and communication with internal work crew, external suppliers, facility management and Special Projects team.

• Co-operation within ‘Special Projects’ project teams by providing fabrication inputs for the efficient and compliant delivery of in-facility fabrication works to comply with UAE Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, and local regulatory standards (key) .
• Take proactive co-ordination and communication actions within the project team and with external suppliers to deliver in-facility work activities for asset fabrication (key) .
• Provide and maintain in-facility supervision of all fabrication work activities occurring in facility sites, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and safety of advertising assets.
• Act as instructed by Head of Special Projects to contribute to the on-time delivery of project schedules and achieving project milestones, including quality assurance checks before dispatch and installation.
• Maintain transparent and constant communication with external suppliers engaged to support the delivery of in-facility fabrications.
• Coordinate with project facility management to ensure all fabrication compliance requirements are known ahead of schedule and are adhered to during in-factory delivery by internal and external resources.Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to fabrication processes, assets and equipment.

Education/ Qualification:

• Degree in structural/civil engineering or equivalent field (key)
• Industry-relevant certification in fabrication equipment
• Machine operation certification and welding license (preferred)

Work Experience:

• 7+ years’ working with fabrication machinery
• 5+ years’ signage fabrication works within MENA (key)
• 3+ years’ working in supervisor roles

Industry Knowledge:

• Operational knowledge of digital advertising asset and static advertising signage fabrication methods, processes and in-facility solutions (key) .
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality signage regulations, and Civil Defense approvals.
• Extensive knowledge of fabrication machinery such as welders, static saws, CNC machines, folding presses and power tools.

Professional Skills:

• Strong workplace communication and supervisory skills.
• Ability to read and understand site plans and compliance documents.
• Proficient computer skills, specifically using MS Office & AutoCAD.
• Multi-lingual with MENA region languages and cultures (preferred).
