Fabrication In-charge

Key Responsibilities
Fabrication Operations

• Supervise day-to-day fabrication activities as per drawings and work schedules.
• Ensure fabrication work (cutting, welding, bending, assembly) is executed accurately.
• Plan job allocation and monitor progress to meet production targets.

Manpower Management

• Supervise fabricators, welders, fitters, and helpers.
• Allocate manpower efficiently and monitor productivity.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to workers.

Quality Control

• Ensure fabrication work meets drawing specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with QC for inspections, weld quality, and dimensional accuracy.
• Rectify fabrication defects and ensure rework is minimized.

Material & Inventory Control

• Ensure availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools.
• Control material wastage and maintain proper utilization.
• Maintain records of material usage and requisitions.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety rules and safe working practices in the fabrication area.
• Ensure use of PPE and safe operation of fabrication equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and compliance with statutory safety norms.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with planning, stores, quality, and project teams.
• Maintain daily production reports and progress updates.
• Support project timelines and site requirements as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fabrication, or related trade.
• 3–6 years of experience in fabrication supervision.
• Strong knowledge of structural fabrication, welding processes, and drawings.

Technical Skills

• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and BOQs.
• Knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC).
• Familiarity with cutting, bending, and forming machines.
• Understanding of fabrication tolerances and inspection methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fabrication managerial: 3 years (Required)

Language:

• English, Hindi, Arabic (Preferred)
