Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fabrication Lead to join our team. In this role, you will oversee fabrication operations, lead a team of skilled technicians, set up and operate fabricating machines to make fabricated parts and assemblies and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in welding, sheet metal work, and mechanical assembly will drive our manufacturing processes forward with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble and repair sheet metal products and equipment, ensuring projects meet specifications and deadlines
  • Selects gauges and types of sheet metal or non-metallic material, according to product specifications. Verifies material is correct per specifications.
  • Directs other team members performing welding (MIG, TIG ), sheet metal work and assembly tasks to meet deadlines and required ship dates
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes
  • Operation and maintenance of fabrication equipment such as turret press, shear, brake press, spot welders, lathes, tig and mig welders
  • Experienced in drilling and punching holes in metal, for screws, bolts and rivets.
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Additional tasks as required
  • Follows ISO 9001 company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong background in fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication projects
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including machining, and assembly procedures
  • Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise fabrication work
  • Strong understanding of welding and fabrication practices

Pay: From $28.50 per hour
