Position Summary:
The role of a Fabrication Manager is crucial in ensuring smooth maintenance operations and efficient production in a manufacturing or industrial setting. They are responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of fabrication workers engaged in expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within the fabrication department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shop floor personnel.

Lead, mentor, and coach welders and welder/fitters in daily production activities.

Communicate and collaborate with all functional areas to ensure jobs are completed effectively and efficiently.

Monitor and manage welding performance, ensuring jobs are on budget and on time.

Fosters and champions continuous improvement activities to innovate business practices.

Plan, organize, and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed.

Monitor the production process and make adjustments as needed.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of fabricated products.

Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.

Collaborate with other departments, including engineering and sales, to ensure project specifications are met.
Education and Experience Required:

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution

Previous experience as a production foreman or assistant foreman

Three to four years in a fabrication and manufacturing environment.
- Certified welding certificate.

Forklift Certified
