Fabrication Manager

Pink Sparrow is seeking a Graphic Designer to support the development of experiential and spatial environments, spanning brand activations, retail environments, and immersive installations. This role works closely with Creative Direction, Spatial Designers, Print, Production, and Fabrication teams to translate brand narratives into cohesive visual systems across both presentation and built environments. The Graphic Designer contributes across concept development and production, ensuring graphic intent is aligned with fabrication and real-world application, and plays a key role in supporting and maintaining graphic continuity from early-stage RFP and concept development through final execution.

Essential Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Project Support

  • Define build approaches and select materials and finishes for projects.
  • Provide guidance to drafting and project management teams during technical drawing development.
  • Manage and adhere to an internal drawing approval process.
  • Review technical drawings, recommend revisions, and issue internal approvals.
  • Specify materials and hardware to be included in technical documentation.
  • Assist with engineering needs requiring external approvals.
  • Collaborate with Drafting, Project Management, and Design teams to develop Build Lists and Project Timelines.
  • Oversee the creation of material and finish samples for internal and client needs.

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Mentor, train, and support Fabrication Teams during active builds.
  • Lead weekly Fabrication Department meetings as required.
  • Support staffing and scheduling for Fabrication Department Leads and coordinate workflows with the Foreman.
  • Assist the Director of Fabrication in setting team development goals.

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure quality standards are safely and efficiently met to fulfill project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Director of Fabrication, other Fabrication Managers, Digital Fabrication Team, Project Managers, and Fabrication Team Leads.
  • Support the procurement of building materials, specifying material types and quantities as needed.
  • Participate in reviewing project budgets and performing site surveys to assess requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to established safety, quality, engineering, HR, and financial procedures.

Strategic Contribution

  • Assist the Director of Fabrication in meeting departmental goals aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Contribute to company culture initiatives and collaborate across departments to drive innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong expertise in material selection, finishes, and hardware specification.
  • Proficient in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and the ability to guide complex builds.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and operational procedures in a fabrication environment.
  • Competence in workflow and resource management, including scheduling and

  • Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and guide a team effectively.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Design, Construction Management) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in fabrication, including hands-on project execution and technical drawing review.
  • Previous leadership experience in managing fabrication teams and projects.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
