Job Description: Fabricator/Shop QC Inspector

Location: Doha, Qatar (Candidates must be locally available with valid QID & transferable visa/NOC)
Contract Type: Full-Time (Immediate Hiring)

Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Fabricators / Shop QC Inspectors to support fabrication activities inside our workshop and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Candidates must have hands‑on experience in metal fabrication, measurement, inspection, and documentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication work including cutting, fitting, grinding, and welding preparation as per drawings and instructions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Conduct shop quality inspections on fabricated components, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Verify measurements, alignment, weld preparations, and material conformity before and after fabrication.
• Report any non-conformities, defects, or dimensional deviations to the QC Supervisor.
• Coordinate with Fabricators, Welders, and Supervisors to ensure work accuracy and timely completion.
• Prepare basic quality records, checklists, and inspection documentation.
• Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment, and workshop materials.
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to all workshop HSE rules and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in fabrication, metal works, or QC inspection is required.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and measurement tools (tape, vernier caliper, square, gauges).
• Understanding of fabrication tolerances and basic welding terminology.
• Knowledge of workshop safety requirements and material handling procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Must be currently in Qatar with a valid QID and transferable Visa/NOC.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.
