Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician to service and maintain non-powered cargo equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment remains in safe, functional condition through routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Duties
- Accident repair on damaged equipment.
- Parts changing on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet goals and deadlines efficiently.
- Painting and greasing equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on non-powered cargo equipment (e.g., dollies, carts, stands, racks).
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Perform minor fabrication repairs, adjustments, and part replacements as needed.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
Requirements
- Must be able to troubleshoot damage to equipment and make necessary repairs.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- A commitment to safety practices in a manufacturing environment is crucial.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Previous fabricating skills ( but not required)- Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred (but not required).
