Job description:
We have a great opportunity for a motivated, detail oriented, and proactive person, to join our team as a Fabricator/Welder. You'll work alongside an experienced Fabrication team in building custom work trucks for the construction industry. This team is responsible for customizing pre-built service bodies as well as building custom projects from scratch. Some projects work off a print, some projects work off pre-made templates, and some projects require us to dry fit components before we begin. Construction is primarily steel but we occasionally use aluminum. We are a quality focused team with many long term employees.
Fabricator:
To be considered, candidates should have at least 2 years experience working in a shop environment, possess a strong work ethic, be mechanically inclined, as well as have a strong attention to detail and organization. We will consider trade school certifications in lieu of shop experience.
We are looking for dependable, critical thinkers, with problem solving capabilities, who can help make our processes more efficient. We'd like you to have a proactive approach, seeking out work, as tasks are completed.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cutting and cleaning metals for current projects; Safely use cutoff wheel, angle grinder on steel parts. Knowing how to operate a band saw and plasma cutter is preferred, but we will train if needed.
- Setting up projects: laying out the metal, and drilling holes where needed (Dry fit lights, welders, tanks, etc. Accurately mark, punch and drill holes)
- Ability to read a tape measure, with extremely high accuracy
- Operate overhead crane and tow motor with confidence (training will be provided, if needed)
- MIG welding as needed.
- Comfortable operating large vehicles
- Accurately read and interpret production drawings, build sheet and picture

Requirements:
- Be comfortable operating large tow motor/forklift as well as large trucks
- Previous experience working in a shop environment
- Must have a consistent work history
- Work safely 100% of the time.
