Fabricator/Welder

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding and experienced in various fabrication processes, including sheet metal work. This role involves working with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to produce high-quality metal components. The successful applicant will contribute to the realisation of precise, durable fabrications in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Fabricate components using sheet metal and other materials, following detailed drawings and diagrams.
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
• Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly processes.
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> welding standards.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
• Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential to fabrication work.
• Experience working with sheet metal and performing tasks involving metal cutting, shaping, and joining.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
