Fabricator/Welder

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal work, and the use of hand and power tools, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of metals, including sheet metal, to precise specifications.
• Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes.
• Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring welds are strong and meet industry standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in MIG welding.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal work, including cutting, bending, and assembling metal sheets.
• Strong understanding of welding principles, safety procedures, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations relevant to fabrication tasks.
• Prior experience in assembly processes is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment while contributing to high-quality fabrication projects.

Pay: £15.50-£16.50 per hour
