Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage façade design development (curtain walls, cladding, skylights, glazing, steel & aluminium structures).
- Coordinate between consultants, architects, contractors, and fabrication teams to ensure design intent is achieved.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and fabrication details.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, international façade standards, and project specifications.
- Manage value engineering initiatives to optimize façade design and cost.
- Oversee design interface between structural, MEP, and architectural disciplines.
- Conduct design risk assessments related to façade and fabrication works.
- Lead a team of design engineers, draftsmen, and liaise with production/fabrication departments.
- Provide technical guidance during installation and construction phases.
- Ensure timely delivery of design packages aligned with project schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 8-15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in façade & glass design management.
- Strong knowledge of curtain walls, glazing systems, aluminium & steel fabrication.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Tekla, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Strong understanding of façade performance criteria (thermal, acoustic, wind load, fire safety).
- Proven track record in managing design for high rise towers, airports, shopping malls, or mega façade projects.
- Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
