Facilities Associate - Part-Time

Turn your passion for the outdoors, sports, or fashion into a world-class career.

At SCHEELS, we don’t just sell gear—we live it. As a leader in the sporting goods industry, we are driven to create the best experience in the USA for our customers. We empower our associates to become true experts through extensive product training, mentorship, and professional development. If you "walk the walk" and love helping others find their next favorite hobby, you belong at SCHEELS.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep the Store Sparkling: Maintain a clean, welcoming environment for customers and coworkers by handling essential sanitation, mopping, vacuuming, and keeping the restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot spotless.
  • Be the Go-To Problem Solver: Stay ready to jump into action when leadership or associates call, quickly and safely managing cleanup requests like spills and wet floors to keep everyone safe.
  • Support the Team: Help train new team members, follow up on daily facility duties, and maintain a highly positive, respectful attitude with every customer and coworker you meet.
  • Spot the Details: Keep your own workspace organized and act as the eyes and ears of the building by spotting and reporting maintenance needs—like leaky faucets or loose tiles—before they become bigger problems.

  • Skills: Basic math and communication skills are essential for sales and reporting.
  • Physicality: This is a "heavy work" role. You should be comfortable standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED) and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.
