Casa Romantica is a nonprofit cultural center and historic home, offering arts, music, history, and horticulture programs year-round. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and enrich through cultural experiences while preserving our historic property.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to maintain our gardens, historic building, and event spaces. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors, program attendees and private events guests.

Responsibilities:

• Perform minor repairs, painting, and routine maintenance
• Keep patios, walkways, and public areas clean and guest-ready
• Restock supplies, concessions, and refill propane tanks when needed
• Take out trash and recycling
• Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, sound, lighting, etc.)
• When scheduled, serve as on-site staff and point person for private events.
• Preparing the site for use by clients- i.e. sweeping, stocking and tidying restrooms, turning lights
• Adjusting thermostat, use fireplaces, etc.
• Follow proper opening/closing procedures - lock/unlock all doors and secure alarm system

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, reliable, and organized
• Ability to lift/carry moderate loads and work independently
• Experience with light maintenance or basic handyman tasks preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Schedule & Pay:

• Part-time, 15-20 hours/week, including occasional evenings or weekends
• $25/hour, depending on experience
