Facilities Maintenance - CUA100

Summary

The position is responsible for performing building maintenance duties for all buildings and related areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to requests from management and perform maintenance services as needed
• Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs.
• Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances.
• Experience with common hand and power tools
• Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.
• Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns.
• Repair plumbing, some electrical and some safety systems.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks.
• Maintain a maintenance schedule for preventative maintenance Items.
• Conduct performance assessments of company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers as needed.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to organize materials and have great communication skills with management and staff.
• Ability to communicate well with property management and maintenance staff
• Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, company services and efficiency
  Experience with plumbing, electrical systems and some HVAC required.
• Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
  Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
• English as primary or secondary language.

Working Conditions

Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
