What this job involves:

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in supporting JLL's facility operations by ensuring optimal performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with customer service excellence, maintaining safe and comfortable environments for our high-profile clients. You'll work independently and collaboratively with mobile engineers to deliver comprehensive maintenance solutions that directly impact client satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you'll balance preventive maintenance schedules with responsive repair work while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Execute general interior maintenance tasks including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture, and door maintenance
  • Support building operations through HVAC maintenance such as cleaning coils, changing filters and belts, and replacing lighting and ballasts
  • Collaborate with operations team on building and equipment maintenance projects, moving furniture, machinery, and materials as needed
  • Update work order systems in real time, submit P-card receipts daily, and escalate issues to management promptly
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, complete hazard assessments, and attend required safety and work meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet safely
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including overtime as business needs require
  • Physical capability for frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving throughout workday
  • Must successfully pass background, drug/alcohol, and motor vehicle record screening processes
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for mobile assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications or licenses relevant to maintenance trades
  • Experience working in hospitality or high-profile guest environments with emphasis on customer service excellence
  • HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) operational knowledge
  • Technology experience with audiovisual equipment and lighting control systems
  • Vendor management and coordination experience
  • Security systems knowledge and experience
  • Proven track record of self-directed work performance and strong multitasking abilities

Work Shift: Standard business hours

Estimated compensation for this position:

67,000.00 – 75,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
