We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support daily building maintenance, equipment repairs, and work-order completion in our healthcare setting.

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist supports day-to-day facility upkeep and repair needs under the direction of the Environmental Services Coordinator. This position works as part of our maintenance team and ensures that the building and resident equipment — including wheelchairs and other assistive devices — remain safe and in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders and routine building repairs
• Perform minor plumbing, painting, and basic electrical tasks
• Inspect, service, and perform minor repairs on wheelchairs, walkers, beds, and resident-care equipment
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for facility systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and respond promptly to requests
• Assist with room setups, equipment/furniture moves, and seasonal building tasks
• Support facility safety procedures and regulatory standards (OSHA, Life Safety)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of facility or building maintenance experience required
• (healthcare, senior living, school, commercial, industrial, or campus environment preferred)
• General mechanical aptitude and building systems knowledge
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment/supplies as needed
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive with work orders
• Comfortable working in a resident-care environment and interacting with staff and residents

Schedule and Benefits

• Full-time, day shift (occasional after-hours needs)
• Typical hours would be 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Times may be adjusted slightly based on candidate's preferences.

Compensation

$24.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

Higher starting pay available for candidates with healthcare facility experience, strong mechanical skills, or experience with building systems and regulatory requirements.
