Under the direction of the Facility manager, assists with the coordination and direction of the construction, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities by ensuring the performance of the following either personally or though subordinate staff:
Job Responsibilities:- Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and activities engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance
- Responds and manages work requests for service on the facility’s infrastructure and equipment; including HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, site security systems and other factors
- Maintains site Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM)
- Manage outside contractors and other outside vendors doing work at the facility or on the grounds.
- Assists with liaisons to public utility, environmental and energy agencies including OSHA, State & Federal Environmental regulatory bodies
- Responsible for maintain site layout drawings and equipment drawing updates
- Schedules facilities modifications including cost estimates and purchasing requirements
- Performs and manages audits to support facility safety; quality and production planning
- Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications
- Provide support within the organization as experience and time allow
- Member of site Safety Committee; manages safety audit process
- Participate in various facility projects
- Inspects plant and evaluates use of space and facilities
- Other duties may be assigned
Position Requirements:- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- 5-10 years of experience within an industrial maintenance manufacturing position
- Associate's degree in relevant field and prior experience in industrial facilities management and machinery/equipment management
- Project management and employee management experience.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical systems (3-phase, controls, voltages up to 480V); plumbing; Cryogenic gases; tubing drawing; PLC; HMI; and other facilities components
- Experience with metal fabrication and/or medical device manufacturing
- Ability to establish good working relationships with all levels of personnel throughout the entire organization
- Successful record in a supervisory position in a manufacturing and office environment
- Ability to maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions necessary to support Viant's registered quality system and company policies
- Working knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
- Drafting Knowledge/Experience: Use of AutoCAD and or 3 modeling software
- Must have the ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to emergency calls on a 24/7 basis
