Job Summary

Bigfoot Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will take primary responsibility for maintaining and servicing two commercial & residential buildings, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and residents enjoy a safe, comfortable environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to handle a wide variety of building maintenance tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance, walkthroughs, repairs, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of facility systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Maintain common areas and mechanical spaces in clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Utilize maintenance software to log activities, update service records, and track materials used (a modern smartphone is required).
  • Follow all safety protocols and building regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with property management and tenants to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in facility or property maintenance, preferably in multi-unit or commercial buildings.
  • Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and safely.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities across large sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass a state and federal background check.
  • Must have a smartphone capable of running company maintenance applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork attitude, and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
