Responsibilities
-
Perform routine and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and others as needed.
- Handle general building upkeep and repairs as needed.
- Routinely inspect facilities and equipment/machines for safety hazards or maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, materials used, and service requests.
- Monitor necessary supplies, materials, and equipment and communication of facility needs to purchasing department.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized jobs that may be beyond the scope of the in-house team.
- Assemble and dismantle machinery and equipment, using hand-held tools and power tools.
- Follow and help create layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings for installation.
- Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
- Full time, single shift: 5 days/8 hours per day schedule: 7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday
- Overtime work may be available for non-exempt employees
Requirements
-
Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and attitude toward safety
- Skilled with a variety of both small and large hand and power tools, overhead cranes, hoists, man-lifts, forklifts and related tools and moving equipment.
- Proficiency in one or more trades, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
