About the Role:

CBRE is seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join the team at an aerospace manufacturing facility in Socorro, TX. This on-site, first-shift role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a team responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the facility. As the Facilities Manager, you will supervise all aspects of building operations, playing a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional, and productive environment.

This position falls within the Facilities Management functional area, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to asset operations. You will be responsible for supporting Property Managers by overseeing repairs, implementing investment plans, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and performance of the aerospace manufacturing facility in Socorro, TX.


What You’ll Do:
  • Supervise employees, oversee training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and manage recruiting and hiring.
  • Schedule and direct daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set/track deadlines.
  • Coordinate and oversee facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings to address facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections and ensure adherence to regulations, while identifying operational improvements.
  • Lead environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, invoicing, and review quotes for parts, services, and labor.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job field and department.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive outlook.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
