Facilities Manager

Springfield, United States

Job Overview

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Facilities Supervisor to help keep our credit union locations running smoothly. This role is all about making sure our buildings, grounds, and equipment are in good shape and that day-to-day facility needs are handled efficiently. You’ll also help coordinate with vendors (like plumbers, landscapers, etc.) and act as the courier between locations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take care of our facilities - that includes everything from building repairs and basic handyman work to keeping the grounds looking good.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for things like landscaping, plumbing, maintenance, and more. You'll also help get quotes and compare bids when we need to hire someone.
  • Serve as the main courier between branches - transporting paperwork, supplies, and anything else that needs to move from one location to another.
  • Make regular visits to each branch to check for maintenance issues or anything that needs fixing or improving.
  • Keep track of supplies, equipment, and furniture - and make sure everything is being used efficiently.
  • Help develop maintenance schedules and simple how-to guides for branch staff (things like what to do if something breaks or how to request a repair).
  • Pitch in with insurance reviews and work with our provider on any facility-related coverage issues.
  • Make sure we’re following safety regulations (like OSHA and ADA requirements), and help ensure all policies are being followed.
  • Keep good communication with staff at each branch and with the management team.
  • Be dependable - we count on you to be on time and ready to go each day.
  • Help out with other duties as needed.

Note: This list isn’t all-inclusive and may change based on needs.

What a Typical Day Could Look Like

  • Start the morning at our Sunshine location, clock in, grab paperwork and supplies, and head to the Chestnut branch to drop things off.
  • While there, you might fix a loose door handle and walk through the building to make sure everything looks good.
  • Drive out to the Battlefield branch to check on the property and handle any small maintenance needs.
  • Later, meet with a few vendors who are bidding on a landscaping project, compare quotes, and prep a quick summary for management.
  • Head to our Republic, MO location to check in on a flooring project, talk with the contractor, and check with the branch manager to see if anything else needs attention.

No two days are exactly the same — you'll be moving around, solving problems, and helping make sure each branch stays in good shape.

Education and Experience

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving is required.
  • At least three years of experience in related field preferred.
  • General maintenance skills such as HVAC, painting, mechanical skills, or carpentry are preferred.
