FM Operations Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced FM Operations Manager to act as the central point of contact for all Facilities Management activities across the campus, including PTC, Midfield, DIA, and associated infrastructure. This role is responsible for coordinating operational requirements, supporting maintenance activities, managing incidents and emergencies, and ensuring smooth operations with minimal disruption to airport stakeholders. You will work closely with FM contractors and multiple internal departments to drive timely resolutions, maintain compliance, and optimise service delivery. This is a fully on-site position with no hybrid or remote working options.

6 years minimum experience as an FM Operations Manager within an Airport
is paramount for this role. All candidates without this

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
-
Coordinate with operations, security, safety, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure asset availability and minimise operational impact during maintenance.

Manage urgent operational requests and provide timely updates to management on critical tasks.

Support FM contractors in securing emergency permits required for urgent or out-of-hours works.

Conduct QHSE audits and ensure all activities comply with relevant safety standards.

Maintain comprehensive shift handover reports and document critical incidents and events.

Participate in daily operations meetings, escalating issues when required.

Support both Hard and Soft FM services to reduce operational disruptions.

Lead planning of major maintenance activities, ensuring early stakeholder engagement.

Assist in the management of emergencies or major operational disruptions.
Management and Leadership

Define and monitor team objectives to align with wider organisational goals.

Lead, develop, and support team members to ensure strong performance, service quality, and effective succession planning.

Mentor and develop national talent, contributing to Qatar’s talent development initiatives.
Compliance and Safety

Ensure adherence to all HSE, ISO, OHS, and data protection standards.

Promote a strong safety culture and environmental responsibility across all FM operations.

Safeguard confidentiality and security of all information handled.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 6 years of Facilities Management experience in airport operations or maintenance.

Practical experience in safety management and building/facility regulations.

Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

For non-degree holders: minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

Excellent command of the English language.

Strong leadership, analytical, and technical capabilities.

Proven experience in maintaining large airport facilities.

Comprehensive understanding of FM operational processes.

Ability to lead multicultural teams and perform effectively under pressure.

Strong communication, customer service, and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of ISO standards, HSE, PLB, and APM systems is advantageous.
