WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Facilities Specialist oversees the maintenance of the buildings and grounds working with administrative personnel to ensure proper use of building resources. They serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external contractors on all matters pertaining to the North Little Rock Safe Foods Chemical Innovations (SFCI) facility.

  • Oversee all aspects of the exterior grounds, including but not limited to fencing, external security devices, rail spur upkeep, etc. by coordinating resources when needed to address needed repairs.
  • Identify contractors, negotiate contract(s) associated with interior and external grounds maintenance, ensure contracts are executed, and work is completed in satisfactory manner. Be point of contact between contractors and other departments. (i.e. snow/ice removal, clean up &/or preparation for weather events, cleaning or other janitorial services, security camera maintenance and repairs).
  • Coordinate with SFCI personnel to ensure the facility is tour ready to host events and outside visitors.
  • Contact outside resources as needed to address repair issues with the building (e.g. plumbing, roofing, painting, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Maintenance leadership to utilize maintenance resources, when appropriate, to assist with repairs.
  • Responsible for identifying and negotiating pest control issues per pest control company.
  • Oversee HVAC contractor for preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and filter changes.
  • Maintain locker assignments for employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining operations and janitorial supplies.
  • Coordinate and/or execute site events, visitor meetings, staff activities, etc.
  • Provide direct support that includes managing schedules, correspondence and travel.
  • Coordinate executive outreach, external relations, and special projects while ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
  • Other facility and/or administrative duties as assigned.


YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2 years related experience.
  • 1 year of vendor management experience.


WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Basic 110 electrical knowledge, ohm meter use.
  • Experience with general hand tools and performing light repair work (e.g. sheet rock, door, window, and other repairs).
  • Ability to read/understand blueprints.
  • Light plumbing experience, (e.g. sink repair/basic plumbing).


OUR ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in our manufacturing plant environment. Expected exposure to wet, hot, cold, various shifts, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Constant (role requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)

Use of fingers and hands. Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less & push/pull 12 lbs or less.

Frequently (role requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)

Stand, climb stairs, walk, sit, reach outward, squat/kneel, bend. Lift/Carry 11-50 lbs & push/pull 13-40 lbs.

Occasional (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)

Climb & crawl. Lift/Carry 51+ lbs & push/pull 41-100 lbs.
