Facilities Worker

Wage: $18 - $20 per hour.

Shifts: 5:30am - 9:30am Monday – Friday’s.

How You'll Shine:

As a Facilities Worker, you'll make everyones day by providing quality solutions and results for our managers, employees, and customers through using your maintenance and janitorial skills, as well as customer service expertise, to keep Pilgrims Market property and equipment maintained, clean, safe, and in good working order.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing tasks like cleaning floors, restrooms, and other areas, emptying trash, and restocking supplies, while also reporting any maintenance issues.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning for facilities, property, and equipment.
Clean and maintain outside landscape, including, but not limited to, emptying trash, trash pick-up, snow shoveling, leaf blowing, and general landscape work.
Clean and inspect in-building systems and report deficiencies to supervisor.
Organizing janitorial storage areas while maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment.
Adhere to the company's safety programs.

What You'll Bring:

A professional appearance and positive, can-do attitude with team focus.
Ability to work independently or with others as needed.
Basic handyman and power tool skills preferred.
Able to demonstrate safe lifting techniques, reliably operate and maintain machinery and tools, carefully handle caustic chemicals, and confidently deal with heights.
Comfortable with and able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Able to perform demanding physical tasks, with reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work indoors, outdoors, and in a variety of temperature zones and weather. Able to work early, weekends, or odd hours.

Essential Job Requirements:

Able to safely and repeatedly lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform other physical task for extended periods.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions (hot, cold, rain etc) for extended periods.
Vision corrected to 20/20.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Equipment used: industrial floor cleaning machine, hand tools (hammer, drill, etc.), brooms, mops, landscaping equipment.
