Facilities Specialist

The Facilities Specialist works as a member of the support team responsible for the

setup, repair, and maintenance of facility fixtures, furnishings, and exterior grounds.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, identifying and repairing issues

related to plumbing, electrical, door locks and hardware, carpentry work, drywall,

maintenance equipment, HVAC systems, grounds and landscape maintenance, and

addressing potential safety hazards. This position requires frequent travel between

library locations, which may require the use of a personal vehicle; mileage

reimbursement is provided in accordance with library policy. This position is considered

a safety-sensitive position.

During the spring and summer months, this role places increased emphasis on grounds and landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and general outdoor upkeep.
