Facilities Team Member

Position Summary:
The Facilities Assistant supports daily operations of the facility, ensuring the building, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently. This role works closely with the Facilities Manager and assists with inspections, repairs, vendor coordination, and general upkeep. Janitorial support is provided on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Operations

· Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, painting, light carpentry, and preventative upkeep.

· Support facility operations such as room setups, furniture moves, event preparation, and general facility organization.

· Conduct regular inspections of the building, equipment, and grounds; report issues promptly.

· Help manage service requests and work orders with timely follow-up.

· Assist with vendor visits, including access, walkthroughs, and monitoring completed work.

· Perform outdoor tasks such as landscaping assistance, trash pickup, pressure washing, and seasonal work.

· Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe condition.

Janitorial Duties (As Needed)

· Assist with cleaning tasks when required, including spot-cleaning common areas, restrooms, and shared spaces.

· Empty trash and recycling as needed.

· Support deep-clean or special cleaning projects during high-traffic periods or when janitorial coverage is unavailable.

· Help restock restroom and facility supplies when necessary.

Qualifications:

· Maintenance or facilities experience preferred; general handyman skills a plus.

· Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic cleaning equipment safely.

· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

· Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

· Ability to lift 30+ lbs and perform physical labor regularly.

· Valid driver’s license preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment:

· Part-time based on facility needs.

· On-site role with indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
