At Jefferson House we provide excellent long-term care and rehabilitation services to seniors in the greater Hartford area for over 120 years. We are comprised of a skilled and caring staff which provides seniors with Nursing Services, Therapeutic Recreation, Spiritual Services, and Social Services, aimed at caring for the whole individual.

The facilities technician is responsible for general maintenance duties inside and outside of the facility and maintaining documentation and reporting in compliance with safety regulations. . Duties can include light plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, yard work, snow removal and other maintenance duties as needed.

Qualifications

Two or more years of general building maintenance experience

Proficiency in operating woodworking equipment, machinery and hand tools

Ability to follow established safety rules and regulations

Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Able to maintain a safe, clean environment
