Loaves & Fishes is a non-profit food agency that feeds the hungry in Clarksville. We provide a hot nutritious meal Monday through Saturday from 10:30-12:30. We also serve as a food distribution center for other local non-profit agencies and food pantries.

We are looking for an important, part-time flex position role that works within several different areas of our organization. The ideal candidate for this role will have a kind and outgoing personality. They will have a responsible and dependable work ethic, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage large volunteer groups with superior delegating skills and patience. Our goal is to give our volunteers purposeful tasks to accomplish and encourage them with meaningful appreciation.

This position will be able to accomplish the daily requirements for washing dishes, custodial services including bathroom and shower cleaning, warehouse stocking, and occasionally using company vehicles for food pickups and deliveries. You will be expected to fill or assist with one or more of these roles during the day or when work schedules require a fill-in.

Responsibilities When Working as a Custodian/Dishwasher:

Clean dishes, serving trays and cooking pans and utensils. Handwash and machine sanitize.

Restock soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Clean and sanitize all surfaces

Sweep floors and periodically use floor scrubber to deep clean the floors

Collect trash and take it to the dumpster every day before EOD.

Break down cardboard boxes and take to the recycling dumpster.

Follow approved processes and procedures for cleaning the facility.

Responsibilities When Working as the Warehouse Associate:

Examine and sort donated food.

Stock on appropriate shelves in warehouse

Weigh and Log food donations and generate donation receipts

Follow approved processes and procedures for safe food handling and storage.

Job Type: 30 hours a week (5 days a week) Tues-Sat 7:30am-1:30pm

Pay: $13.50-$14.50 per hour. DOE. Paid Bi-Weekly

Located at 825 Crossland Avenue, Clarksville, TN
