Facility Engineer - CIVIL (Project)

Job description:

Project Planning & Execution

1. Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day civil, finishing, and painting works at project sites.

2. Execute renovation and fit-out projects, including partitions, flooring, ceilings, joinery, and finishing works.

3. Ensure project activities are completed on time, within budget, and as per approved drawings and specifications.

4. Coordinate with design, MEP, and procurement teams for seamless project delivery.

Estimation, Costing & Budgeting

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for civil, fit-out, and renovation projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, monitor cost performance, and control variations.
• Evaluate tenders and quotations, negotiate rates, and assist in procurement and contract finalization.

Civil Maintenance & Renovation Works

• Supervise preventive and corrective civil maintenance of buildings and facilities.
• Conduct site inspections to assess repair, refurbishment, and painting requirements.
• Ensure timely execution and high-quality workmanship in maintenance and renovation activities.

Client Coordination & Reporting

• Attend client and consultant meetings to review project progress, technical issues, and deliverables.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports, cost updates, and site documentation.
• Maintain clear communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Subcontractor & Vendor Management

1. Manage and coordinate subcontractors for civil, fit-out, general maintenance and finishing works.

2. Review subcontractor quotations, scope, and performance to ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Monitor material deliveries, manpower deployment, and subcontractor billing.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to UAE construction standards, authority regulations, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct inspections to verify quality of materials and workmanship.
• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, testing, and approvals.
• Team management.
• Support for the recruitment process.
