Facility Housekeeper

The Facility Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the Ontario Surgery Center. This role is essential in supporting infection control standards and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors. The housekeeper will follow strict healthcare cleaning protocols and contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.

Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a total of 5-8 hours per week

Pay: $20+ per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas, operating rooms, recovery rooms, waiting areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces according to established healthcare standards
• Follow all infection control policies
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
• Restock supplies including paper products, soap, and sanitizer in designated areas
• Handle linens and laundry according to facility procedures
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with OSHA and facility guidelines
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly
• Assist with terminal cleaning of surgical rooms and other high-priority areas as needed
• Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in commercial/medical facility cleaning preferred
• Proof of reliable work experience - references required
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control practices, and safe chemical use
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
