1. Role Overview
The Facility & Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficient functioning of all resort facilities, utilities, equipment, guest areas, and back-of-house infrastructure. The role ensures that all buildings, villas/rooms, recreational areas, landscaping, pools, and technical systems are well-maintained, energy-efficient, safe, and aligned with resort service standards. The Manager leads preventive maintenance programs and supervises the engineering team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Facility & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee maintenance of buildings, guest rooms, villas, pools, restaurants, recreation areas, spa facilities, and common spaces.
- Ensure operation and upkeep of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, water supply, pumps, generators, STP/ETP, fire-fighting systems, and elevators.
- Conduct regular inspections of all resort areas to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
B. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and checklists.
- Plan predictive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
C. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and supervise technicians, electricians, plumbers, pool attendants, gardeners, and housekeeping engineering staff.
- Provide training and development to ensure technical competency and service excellence.
- Allocate manpower, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance.
D. Vendor, Contractor & AMC Management
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for critical systems.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs, refurbishment, or major maintenance projects.
- Negotiate with vendors for technical supplies and ensure compliance with SLAs.
E. Budgeting & Inventory Control
- Prepare and manage facility maintenance budgets.
- Control maintenance expenses and monitor cost-efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management of tools, spare parts, consumables, and equipment.
F. Safety, Compliance & Energy Management
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire safety norms, environmental standards, and statutory requirements.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives for water, power, and equipment usage.
- Conduct safety drills and ensure all equipment meets operational safety standards.
G. Guest Service Support
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with front office and housekeeping to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
- Ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance activities.
H. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Maintain records of asset lifecycles, breakdown history, and energy usage.
- Provide updates to management on facility status, major repairs, and improvement initiatives.
3. Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Certification in facilities management or hospitality engineering is a plus.
Experience
- 7–15 years of experience in facility/maintenance management, preferably in hotels, resorts, or hospitality properties.
- Strong experience in managing hospitality engineering systems like HVAC, pools, STP/ETP, BMS, and power distribution.

Pay: ₹42,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
