Facilities Maintenance Supervisor – Warehouse Operations

Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all facility maintenance operations, repairs, and upkeep for warehouse and manufacturing facilities. This position leads the maintenance team in ensuring the building, equipment, grounds, and support systems remain safe, functional, clean, and operational at all times. The supervisor will coordinate daily maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, manage vendors and contractors, and support operational needs across the facility.
This role requires strong leadership, organization, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team
- Assign work orders and monitor completion of maintenance tasks
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel
- Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain clear communication with operations, warehouse, and production leadership
- Support staffing, scheduling, and performance management of maintenance employees
Facility Maintenance
- Oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
- Ensure proper operation of lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems
- Coordinate repairs for doors, docks, walls, fencing, offices, and structural components
- Monitor facility conditions and proactively identify repair needs
- Ensure maintenance areas remain organized and clean
Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure routine inspections are completed on equipment and facility systems
- Track maintenance activities, downtime, and repair history
- Ensure all powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and related material handling equipment, are properly inspected, maintained, and kept up to date with all required preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
- Reduce emergency repairs through proactive planning
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate outside contractors and service providers
- Obtain repair quotes and support vendor scheduling
- Verify contractor work is completed safely and correctly
- Support facility improvement and expansion projects
Grounds & Exterior Maintenance
- Oversee landscaping, grass cutting, parking lot upkeep, and exterior cleanliness
- Ensure outdoor areas remain safe and presentable
- Monitor drainage, fencing, lighting, and exterior repairs
Warehouse & Operational Support
- Support warehouse and production operations with facility-related needs
- Coordinate movement or installation of equipment and furniture
- Assist with warehouse layout changes and operational improvements
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately
- Support emergency preparedness and facility inspections
- Maintain safe work practices across all maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of facility or maintenance supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Basic computer skills for tracking work orders and communication

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
