We are currently seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Worker II to work in the Maintenance division at Pine Mountain State Resort Park.

Pine Mountain is located 15 miles from Cumberland Gap National Park and the oldest state park in Kentucky. We are comprised of a hotel and lodge, cabins, cottages’, restaurant, convention center, 18-hole golf course, pool, natural amphitheater, picnic shelters, nature center and hiking trails.

Primary duties of the Facility Maintenance Worker II position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinates and performs general maintenance of buildings, grounds and associated equipment.
  • Plans and schedules landscaping and mowing activities.
  • Maintains inventory and equipment and requests requisitions for materials and supplies in order to ensure adequate stock of need materials and supplies.
  • Uses manual and power operated equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, welders and leaf blowers.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: NONE


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.


Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.
Working Conditions
Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures. Must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
