Job Summary:
The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hospital facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with departments, vendors, and management, ensuring smooth facility operations and compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Facility Maintenance & Operations
- Ensure timely maintenance of hospital premises, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Supervise housekeeping, security, biomedical waste management, and engineering staff.
- Coordinate with vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, NABH/NABL requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections for fire safety, electrical, and biomedical equipment.
- Maintain all facility-related licenses, certifications, and records.
- Vendor & Asset Management
- Manage contracts, service agreements, and performance of external vendors.
- Monitor inventory and procurement of maintenance materials and consumables.
- Maintain asset registers and ensure optimum utilization.
- Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor facility operation budgets.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Communication & Coordination
- Liaise effectively with hospital departments to address facility-related issues.
- Draft clear reports, maintenance logs, and correspondence for management review.
- Maintain professional communication with vendors, staff, and external agencies.
- Emergency Management
- Lead the facility response during emergencies such as power failures, fire incidents, or equipment breakdowns.
- Conduct regular safety drills and staff training sessions.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate facility management staff for efficient service delivery.
- Ensure high standards of professionalism, discipline, and teamwork.

Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management / Hospital Administration (preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience in hospital facility management.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance and safety standards (NABH, Fire Safety, Pollution Control).
