Facility Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled MHE & Facilities Supervisor to lead the maintenance, reliability, and performance of our Material Handling Equipment (MHE) fleet and facility infrastructure.

This role is responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, safety compliance, and operational efficiency across a 200,000 sq. ft. refrigerated warehouse facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in MHE systems, refrigeration, and facility operations, who thrives in a fast-paced, cold-chain logistics environment.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Environment: 70% floor-based / 30% administrative

Duties

MHE Fleet & Facilities Management

• Oversee maintenance and performance of ~50 units across multiple OEMs (Toyota, Raymond, Jungheinrich, etc.), including forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial lifts, scrubbers, and robotic wrappers

Facilities & Infrastructure

• Maintain refrigeration systems (freezers/coolers), electrical systems, and overall facility infrastructure
• Coordinate solar panel system upkeep (1,000+ panels)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and environmental standards
• Lead repairs, upgrades, and capital projects

Team Leadership

• Supervise and develop a team of 4 maintenance mechanics
• Prioritize and assign daily work; ensure timely task completion
• Train team on safety, troubleshooting, and best practices

Operations Support

• Maintain strong floor presence (~70%) to support warehouse operations
• Partner with Operations, Shipping, and Receiving to minimize downtime
• Respond to breakdowns and track KPIs (uptime, repair time, costs)

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety standards and LOTO procedures
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and audit readiness

• 5+ years in MHE maintenance/facilities supervision
• Hands-on experience with warehouse equipment and industrial refrigeration
• Proven leadership and troubleshooting skills (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)
• Experience in cold storage or food distribution environments

Preferred

• Technical certification (Industrial Maintenance, HVAC/Refrigeration, or related)
• Experience with solar systems, CMMS, and OSHA standards
