Facility Technician

Reports To: Director of Growth and Facilities

Location: Hybrid – Southern California (supporting San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles counties, with multi-site growth)

Position Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of all Alongside ABA physical sites, including clinics and administrative offices. This role ensures facilities comply with health and safety regulations, supports the unique needs of ABA therapy environments, and enables smooth multi-location operations as the organization expands within and beyond California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, cleaning, and repair activities across all sites, partnering with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health & safety standards applicable to schools and healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Coordinate and manage office moves, expansions, and space utilization planning to support growth and new site openings.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, contractors, and service providers.
  • Develop and monitor facilities budgets, cost control, and vendor contracts.
  • Support site teams with emergency preparedness and incident response planning.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operations, and HR teams to accommodate programmatic needs and ensure optimal environments for therapy delivery
  • Maintain accurate facilities records, permits, and certifications
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders that is clear, relevant, and timely

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in Facilities or related field
  • 2+ years in facilities for multi-site organizations, ideally in healthcare, education, or related settings
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and other relevant regulations
  • Experience working with leased commercial spaces, schools, and clinics preferred
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-growing organization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
