Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated systems within the facility.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and safety standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Lead or support team members in manufacturing or facilities environments, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety practices.
- Review schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting or installation projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations through inspections and adherence to best practices in facilities management.
Requirements
- Proven experience with facilities maintenance, including electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and general building upkeep.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical experience, and understanding of manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in facilities or manufacturing settings preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on skills in welding and residential painting is a plus.
- Experience with CMMS platforms for work order management is advantageous.
