Facility Technician - Welding Shop

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Welding Fabrication Shop is seeking a Facility Technician - Welding Shop performs hands on operations such as operating a sand blast unit, Painting with a sprayer and hand rolling or brush, materials loading and unloading, utilizing a fork lift, Utilizing shop equipment as required i.e. saws, shears, press, iron worker, drill press etc. Monday- Friday Day Shift-6 am- 3 pm, Starting pay $20 + DOE, paid weekly.

**Great opportunity for a recent HS grad (18 yrs) to gain hands-on experience and learn the welding trades.**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operation
  • Understanding of hand tools- required
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Climb on and off forklifts
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to your waste
  • Climb up and down vertical ladders
  • Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical
  • 10 pushups, deep knee squats and sit-ups (to determine if fit)
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Valid Us DL's
  • Punctuality and attendance- required
  • Background check, drug screen and physical- required
  • Updated resume, including most recent employer- required

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs basic operations including, but not limited to, operating a sand blast unit,
  • Painting with a sprayer and hand rolling or brush, materials loading and unloading,
  • Utilizing shop equipment as required i.e. saws, shears, press, iron worker, drill press etc.
  • Operates a forklift when necessary
  • Responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating.
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
  • Help to maintain shop area and exterior of buildings in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Reviews all applicable SOP's and satisfactorily completes quizzes
  • Ensures, understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards
  • Meets or exceeds production goals
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment
  • Understands Clean Compliance Standard
