Job Description:
The Dispatch Planner is responsible for the efficient and timely execution of daily, weekly & monthly dispatch plans for finished goods from the factories to distribution centers and customers within the MEA/ Non-MEA region. This role ensures optimal truck/container utilization, adherence to delivery schedules, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Dispatch Planner plays a crucial role in minimizing logistics costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Dispatch Planning:
-
Develop and execute daily dispatch plans based on production schedules, sales orders, and inventory levels.

Optimize truck/container loading and routing to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Schedule and coordinate truck/container pickups and deliveries, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon timelines.

Transportation Management:

Liaise with transportation providers to secure capacity and ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.

Monitor truck/container performance and address any delays or issues promptly.

Track and document all dispatch activities and maintain accurate records.

Inventory Management:

Monitor finished goods inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock availability for dispatch.

Collaborate with production and warehousing teams to resolve any inventory discrepancies.

Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (production, warehousing, sales, customer service) and external stakeholders (transportation providers, customers).

Provide regular updates on dispatch status and address any inquiries or concerns.

Proactively alert relevant parties of any potential delays or issues.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency, on-time delivery, and transportation costs.

Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize dispatch operations.

Generate reports on daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch activities.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.

Maintain accurate documentation related to transportation and dispatch activities.

System Utilization:

Utilize SAP or other relevant systems to manage dispatch planning, transportation, and inventory data.

Maintain data accuracy and ensure system integrity.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree.
-
1 to 3 years of experience in dispatch planning, transportation management, or logistics, preferably within the FMCG industry.

Strong understanding of transportation and logistics principles.

Proficiency in using SAP or other relevant ERP systems.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and data management skills.

Knowledge of the MEA region logistics and transportation network is a strong plus.

Fluency in English is required, fluency in Arabic or other regional languages is a plus.
