Factory Manager (Truck Body Building)

Experience

5 to 10+ Years in truck body fabrication or heavy vehicle manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/senior management role.

Education

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

Technical Mastery

Expert at interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. Deep understanding of hydraulic systems, vehicle super structures , and chassis modifications.

Production Skill

Proven track record in lean manufacturing, shop floor optimization, and managing high-volume production schedules without compromising quality.

Market Intelligence

Strong awareness of competitor pricing, regional transport regulations, and emerging trends .

Key Responsibilities & Competencies

1. Technical Drawing & Design Oversight

• Review and approve all shop drawings before production begins.
• Ensure all designs comply with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) chassis guidelines and local transport authority regulations.
• Liaise with the design team to customize bodies based on specific client needs.

2. Production & Operational Excellence

• Manage the full production lifecycle: from raw material sourcing (steel, aluminum) to final paint and finishing.
• Implement Quality Assurance (QA) protocols to ensure zero-defect delivery.
• Optimize manpower across welding, painting, and assembly sections to meet tight delivery deadlines.

3. Market & Business Development

• Customer Relations: Act as the technical point of contact for fleet owners and corporate clients.
• Vendor Management: Identify and negotiate with suppliers for high-quality hydraulic kits, lighting, and steel at competitive prices.
• Trend Analysis: Advise senior leadership on new product lines based on market demand
