Site Engineer – FACTS Maintenance

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer – FACTS Maintenance with strong expertise in SVC and FSC systems . The role focuses on ensuring the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of FACTS installations through preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance, along with advanced fault analysis.

Key Responsibilities

FACTS Maintenance

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of SVC and FSC systems in line with OEM standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot:
• Thyristor valves
• Firing circuits
• Fiber optics
• Control & protection panels
• Cooling systems
• Reactors, capacitors, and harmonic filters
• Monitor system health, alarms, and event logs to ensure high availability.
• Conduct periodic testing of control, protection, and interlock systems .
• Manage and validate critical spare parts and modules .
• Maintain accurate maintenance reports and technical documentation.

Fault Analysis & Reliability

• Analyze system trips and abnormal operations.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with OEM teams for complex issues and system upgrades.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in FACTS maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with SVC & FSC systems .
• Solid knowledge of:
• Power systems
• MV/HV substations
• Electrical protection & testing
• Valid:
• SEC ID
• Driving License
• WPT C1 or C2 certification
• Strong troubleshooting, safety awareness, and communication skills.
