About the Opportunity
The Bouvé College of Health Sciences is currently seeking a Faculty HR Associate to join their team!
The Faculty HR Associate manages faculty affairs transactions including, but not limited to the following: job requisitions; visiting appointments (paid and unpaid); personnel transactions such as terminations and job changes; part-time faculty payment processing; and processing faculty compensation payments and stipends. The HR Associate supports the Manager of Faculty HR Administration on all of these transactions and other faculty needs. The HR Associate also works with new faculty hires to complete the I-9 process. The HR Associate will assist in maintaining the college’s personnel files and databases. The HR Associate will monitor visa and funding expirations, facilitate employment/visa extensions and terminations, and faculty contracts, as appropriate. This individual will respond to faculty inquiries in their portfolio, which requires a comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures. The HR Associate works in partnership with the college, Office of Global Services, and Office of General Counsel to process visas for faculty and part-time lecturers. The HR Associate will work with the team to oversee an efficient intake of materials and coordinate H1B, J1, STEM-OPT, Permanent Resident, and other applications as required.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of human resources policies/procedures, programs, and related employment laws. Ability to think critically and quickly grasp/apply new concepts. Ability to plan or organize work. Interpersonal skills to relate well to all kinds of people; communicate information clearly with the appropriate level of detail; build and maintain relationships; and use diplomacy and tact to comfortably defuse tense situations. High level of proficiency in MS Office applications [Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word] and ability to use core HR platforms. Knowledge and skills typically obtained through a related bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 1 to 3 years of service, preferably in higher education. Experience with Workday and Smartsheets is preferred.

$59,425.00 - $83,935.00With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
