Position Summary

The MIT School of Artificial Intelligence is looking for academic trailblazers who can bridge the gap between theoretical algorithms and real-world applications. As a faculty member, you will lead the next generation of AI engineers, driving research that pushes the boundaries of machine intelligence and automation.

1. Key Responsibilities

Pedagogy & Lab Innovation

• Project-Based Learning: Design curriculum that emphasizes "learning by doing," utilizing GPU-accelerated labs and cloud environments.
• Specialized Electives: Develop advanced modules in niche areas such as LLMs (Large Language Models), AI for Healthcare, or Autonomous Systems.
• Mentorship: Supervise students in AI hackathons, Kaggle competitions, and deep-tech startups.

Research & Development

• Interdisciplinary Research: Collaborate across departments (e.g., AI in Bio-Tech or AI in FinTech) to create multi-disciplinary solutions.
• Publications: Maintain a strong presence in top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) and high-impact journals.
• Consultancy: Provide AI-driven solutions and consultancy to industry partners and government agencies.

Institutional Growth

• AI Ecosystem: Contribute to the development of the "AI Center of Excellence" on campus.
• Ethics & Standards: Integrate ethical AI practices and bias-reduction methodologies into the core academic framework.

2. Mandatory Qualifications

Candidates must meet the required criteria’s as per UGC and AICTE norms:

Assistant Professor Position

• Education: Ph.D. in CSE / AI / Data Science
• Experience: Min. 2 years of teaching or industry R&D
• Academic Record: First Class in B.E./B.Tech & M.E./M.Tech
• Tech Stack: PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, Scikit-learn
• Research Output: 2+ papers in Scopus/WoS

Associate Professor Position

• Education: Ph.D. in CSE / AI / Data Science
• Experience: Min. 8-10 years (with focus on AI/ML projects)
• Academic Record: First Class in B.E./B.Tech & M.E./M.Tech
• Tech Stack: Experience in MLOps and Big Data architecture
• Research Output: 6+ papers + Research Grants

Professor Position

• Education: Ph.D. in CSE / AI / Data Science
• Experience: Min. 10 years (with leadership in AI research)
• Academic Record: First Class in B.E./B.Tech & M.E./M.Tech
• Tech Stack: Expertise in AI Strategy & Global Research Trends
• Research Output: Expertise in AI Strategy & Global Research Trends

3. Desired Competencies

• Mathematical Foundation: Strong command over Linear Algebra, Probability, Statistics, and Optimization techniques.
• Applied AI: Proven ability to build, deploy, and scale machine learning models.
• Innovation Mindset: A track record of filing patents or contributing to Open Source AI projects (e.g., GitHub contributions).
• Communication: Ability to explain complex algorithmic concepts to diverse audiences.
