FACULTY POSITION (DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY)

Qualifications Required — Faculty Position (Department of Pathology)

1. Academic Qualifications

• Board certification for in Anatomic/Surgical Pathology OR Hematopathology (e.g., Arab Board, Saudi Board, American Board, Royal College, or equivalent).
• Evidence of specialization and fellowship training.
• Holding additional master and PhD is an advantage.

2. Teaching Experience

• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education
• Experience in:
• Medical curriculum delivery
• Practical/laboratory teaching
• Student assessment methods (MCQs, OSPE, case-based assessment)
• Problem-Based Learning (PBL) or student-centered learning approaches.
• Experience with e-learning platforms or LMS is desirable.

3. Research and Scholarly Activity

• Demonstrated research experience.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.
• Experience in securing research funding is desirable.

4. Clinical Experience

• Relevant clinical or diagnostic laboratory experience.
• Valid professional license or eligibility for licensure in Bahrain (NHRA eligibility preferred).

5. Professional Skills

• Strong communication and academic writing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to academic mentorship and student support.
• Contribution to quality assurance, accreditation, and academic service activities.

6. Other Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Commitment to teaching excellence, research productivity, and community service.
• Experience in curriculum development or academic administration is an advantage.
