Faculty Position in Physics

American University of Sharjah (AUS) is seeking applications for a full time faculty position in Physics, preferably at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active and productive research agenda.
• Supervise senior research projects.
• Secure external research funding and participate in international collaborations.
• Teach courses across all levels of the curriculum with evidence of excellence in teaching.
• Proficiently communicate in English.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with a North American style educational system.
• Robust research background with high quality publications in leading peer reviewed journals.
• Strong proficiency in English communication.
