Faith-Based Marketing & Communications Specialist

Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest endeavors to combat the addiction epidemic with the Grace and Love of Jesus. We are looking for someone who is equally passionate to join our marketing team by serving our growing network of 17 Residential Recovery Centers, 8 Thrift Stores, and Outpatient Clinics across the Pacific Northwest.

General Statement of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage content for marketing and fundraising materials.
  • Direct and manage the strategic distribution of these materials against stated organizational goals.

This position is based out of the regional administration office and is specifically responsible for video and print media production, digital (web, social, mobile, e-marketing) design and execution.

Examples of Principle Responsibilities:

  • Both direct high-level strategy, and execute at specific task and tactic levels, often having to scale back and forth between these two extremes with fluidity.
  • Identify opportunities to meet marketing and communications objectives while minimizing cost. Keep an eye towards maximizing impact and effectiveness with grassroots levels of effort.
  • Steward content creation across the organization, including copywriting for use in web, print, email, donor communications, social media, and more.
  • Contribute to organization brand strategy, definition, refinement, and communication.
  • Design marketing, promotional, educational, and informational materials for Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest (ATCPW).
  • Record, film, and/or photograph ATCPW events, students, and staff as requested.
  • Develop and implement strategies for social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Proofread and help revise newsletters and other mailings for layout and graphics.
  • Run Paid Media Campaigns on Google, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Email Marketing Campaigns on Mailchimp.
  • Manage Social Media.
  • A working knowledge of all program policies and procedures relative to assigned scope of duties and responsibilities.
  • Availability, cooperativeness and team work to assist in the overall operations as required by the Marketing Director or designee.
  • Any other related work as required.

Skill, Knowledge, Abilities:

The ability to be flexible and attention to detail is important in this position. This role involves in a wide variety of marketing initiatives.

  • Positive attitude and ability to meet stakeholder needs with a spirit of service. The marketing department exists to serve the broader objectives of the organization and to Put Hope Within Reach.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and/or Google equivalents.
  • Understanding of graphic design tools, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Understanding of web editing functionality, including knowledge of WordPress, email marketing toolsets.
  • Understanding of digital media, SEO, Paid Search, display, and other paid models of digital advertising.
  • Skill in operating social media properties in a professional context.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication skills necessary to coordinate design projects in a timely manner.
  • Emotionally maturity, professional objectivity, and the ability to act in a Christian manner.

Experience and Training:

Minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework in graphic design, web design, communications, new media, marketing, computer science, or related fields.

  • A strong portfolio/case study set of digital design and/or strategy and/or execution.
  • Minimum of two years working in a professional marketing capacity.

This position is determined to be a ministry staff position by role and function. Duties will include when necessary or directed: Leading prayer and Bible studies, discipling students and others, conducting evangelistic or humanitarian outreaches, and teaching religious or non-religious instruction.

Supervision:

This individual works under the direct supervision of the Director of Development who determines goals, assigns work, and reviews performance for overall effectiveness through reports and observations. Supervision of other employees is not currently a responsibility of this position. However, the management of third-party partners as well as outside contractors assigned to project work within the department may be expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
