Family and Household Dynamics
A peek behind the front door...
Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 5.5 and almost 3 years old.
About the Children:
The oldest child is 5.5 and very social, bright, and active. She never meets a stranger and loves connecting with others. She’s doing well in school, though she is one of the youngest in her class, so transitions can be a bit harder—especially on longer school days later in the week. She responds well to clear boundaries and consistent follow-through when needed. She loves free play, being outside, spending time with friends, coloring, writing stories, and can hyper-focus on activities she’s especially interested in. Over the summer, she’ll be in a few camps but mostly home. Her little brother is almost three and quite different in temperament. He is initially more reserved and slow to warm, especially around new people, but once comfortable he is sweet, silly, social, and very engaging. He is generally easygoing for a 2.5-year-old with short-lived moments of emotional sensitivity. He will be attending school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 to noon this fall.
About the Family:
Dual working parents who both work from home.
About the Pets:
Two sweet pups live in the home. On days when both children are in school, they would love a walk around the block.
Additional Notes:
This family has a great relationship with their current nanny! She has worked for them for 5+ years and most enjoys the infant years. As the children are getting older, the role is transitioning, and she is ready to move on.
