Family Assistant Needed

A professional and welcoming family in Livingston is seeking a reliable, organized, and engaging Family Assistant/Nanny to support their home and care for their two school-aged children. This is a long-term, live-out position ideal for a candidate who enjoys balancing childcare with light household support and thrives in a structured, active environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The role primarily focuses on afternoon and evening support, including school pick-up, driving the children to and from activities, assisting with homework, and engaging them in fun, age-appropriate activities. The nanny will also help manage the evening routine, including preparing dinner for the children and supporting a smooth wind-down at the end of the day.

In addition to childcare, the position includes light household responsibilities related to the children and overall home flow. These may include tidying children’s areas, assisting with laundry, helping with meal prep, and keeping common spaces organized. The family is looking for someone who can take initiative, stay on top of daily tasks, and contribute to a calm, well-run household.

The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, and proactive, with a genuine love for working with children. Someone who is organized, communicative, and able to anticipate needs without constant direction will be a strong fit. The family values a positive attitude, consistency, and a long-term commitment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of professional childcare and/or family assistant experience
• Experience working with school-aged children
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable driving children to and from school and activities
• Reliable transportation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to balance childcare and light household responsibilities
• Warm, engaging, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $35.00 per hour
