Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20-30 hours per week
Work schedule will fall between 10am and 7pm Monday through Fridays. Exact schedule will be discussed with the right candidate.
Additional hours are offered on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and evenings.
Additional hours are also offered during Mom’s business busy season (January through April).
Mom and Dad both own their own businesses. This can allow for some flexibility but requires extreme reliability when a schedule is set.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, proactive Family Assistant / Nanny to support our household and help care for our children. This role combines attentive childcare with light household support to help keep daily family routines running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is organized, nurturing, and self-directed, able to take initiative while maintaining a calm, engaging environment for the children.
This is a long-term, part-time to full-time role for someone who enjoys becoming a trusted part of a family’s routine.
Strong adherence to household policies and routines.
Primary Responsibilities
Childcare & Enrichment
- Provide attentive care and supervision for the children
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and developmental play
- Support learning activities and enrichment
- Maintain consistent routines
- Prepare snacks and meals for the children
- Maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing environment
Infant experience is required, including comfort with feeding, soothing, and supporting developmental milestones.
Household Support
- Grocery shopping and restocking household essentials (pantry, fridge, toiletries)
- Light housekeeping and general tidying daily
- Prepping home for cleaning services and monitoring the cleaning services
- Organization of children’s spaces and play areas
- Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys, storage)
- Conduct seasonal clothing swaps
- Ensure all areas (dishwasher, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas) are maintained.
- Care of our little senior dog as a member of the family
- Refill children’s vitamin and supplements and reorder as needed
Meal Preparation:
- Prepare batch meals (overnight oats, egg bites, etc.) for easy breakfasts/snacks during the week.
- Start pre-prepped “crockpot dinners” during the day or prepare meal-kit dinners
- Grocery shop for meal-related items and restock the kitchen.
- Maintain kitchen tidiness and clean-up post-prep.
Laundry & Linen Care:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels, linens).
- Rotate bedding and towels, restock linens as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area.
Family Vacations:
- While we are away, daily visits to our home to check on the house, bring in the mail, water plants, feed/check chickens, and feed/water/check our outdoor dogs.
Errands, Activities & Household Logistics
- Running occasional errands (groceries, child supplies, pharmacy, returns, gift shopping etc.)
- Pick-up mail/packages, unpack and sort
- Assisting with activity and lesson planning for the children
- Preparing materials for learning activities, including making or picking up printed materials for lessons
- Helping maintain organization of household systems and supplies
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day functioning of the home

Requirements
- 3+ years of infant care experience
- Prior nanny or family assistant experience preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong references from previous families/agencies
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Non-smoker
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience – $30-$40 per hour
